Phoenix Dance Cooperative is committed to delivering a better dance experience.
Founded by parents in 2011, the Phoenix Dance Cooperative (PDC) is a structured, non-profit 501(3)c organization. As a non-profit, all revenue is directed toward recruiting and retaining the best teacher and choreographer talent available and maintaining a clean, safe environment for the dancers. The studio is located in Ahwatukee, which is a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.
PDC is managed by an elected Board of Directors and supported by committees. As members of the cooperative, families participate in committee work, contribute volunteer hours, and make a financial investment with monthly class fees.
Our Mission & Vision
Provide high-quality dance instruction with the best teachers and choreographers available while fostering a loving environment with a strong sense of community.
We Value:
Dance Education
We have developed relationships with Ballet Arizona, Arizona State University, and highly qualified local choreographers to ensure that our students are taught by skilled professionals, experienced in the art and technique of dance instruction.
Opportunity
PDC thrives to elevate recreational opportunities for youth dancers and strengthen a pathway for dancers that aspire to be at a competitive level. Many PDC dancer graduates have been awarded college scholarships for dance and academics.
Affordability
We strive to make dance available and affordable to all children in our community by investing 100% of our proceeds into dance instruction and studio maintenance. Therefore, much of our of day-to-day operations are supported by volunteers and receive no monetary compensation.
Community
We at PDC believe in not only teaching our children to dance but also inspiring them to be the best they can be. We participate in community performances and team-building exercises that promote altruistic values in our students.
