Madeline Soave grew up dancing in the studio circuit of Metro Detroit, Michigan before being recruited to a small liberal arts college, where she competed in both NDA and NAIA National Dance Team Championships, became the program’s first and only 3x NAIA All American dancer, and appeared as a principal dancer in the university’s musical Chicago. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she moved on to become the Director of Spirit at Adrian College, coaching Cheerleading and Dance and teaching academic courses within the dance department. Today, Madeline is in her 3rd season with the Lopes at Grand Canyon University, working as the Assistant Dance Team Coach and completing a master’s degree in Health Psychology. In addition to coaching, education, and the arts, Madeline is passionate about spirituality, family and friends, nature and the environment, her dog Cain, writing, cooking, and always growing. What excites her most about this opportunity with Soul Shock is getting to know the dancers in and beyond the studio, and learning and leading alongside Choreography Director, Hailey Hoffman.
